Upcoming book Bendt Eyckermans
Posture Editions is honoured to publish a second book with Bendt Eyckermans, five years after “A dream of thirst” (Posture Editions N° 37), an overview of Eyckermans’ early work up to 2020. The new book contains some thirty works on paper and more than fifty oil paintings created over a period of five years.

With a conversation between Pietro Scammacca and Bendt Eyckermans (in English) and a musical performance by Hanne De Backer (baritone sax) and Ferdinand Lezaire (drums).
Pietro Scammacca is assistant curator at Kanal-Centre Pompidou. He previously collaborated with Museo Madre in Naples and Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary in Vienna and Venice. He studied art history at Goldsmiths and at The Courtauld Institute in London.
Saxophonist Hanne De Backer creates lively and compelling sounds both solo and in various ensembles and has become a big name on the European avant-garde jazz scene in recent years. Her intense, often very physical baritone playing is bursting with ideas and is – especially live – an experience.
Hanne shares the stage with Ferdinand Lezaire, a young drummer who evokes a landscape of sounds with his percussion. As the son of two visual artists, he paints with rhythmic sounds and improvises like an artist who responds alertly to his surroundings through sketching.
