On Sunday 4 July 2021, the Colombian anthropologist and artist Juan Pablo Plazas presented his book 'Even if you' at S.M.A.K. Ghent.
The book presentation took place in the form of a performance, a recount of different moments in the making of the book. The presentation can be seen as a reflection on the process of creating a document that feels like a printed exhibition.
The artist brought a skit divided into 4 mini-chapters. The setting is a fictional art book fair where the artist meets the publisher, and explains in an absurd way how to make a book. The performer was mostly talking and doing certain actions. The other participants are a table, a couple of chairs and books.
