‘Henk Visch—Cosmic Dance’ at Be-Part Kortrijk

Be-Part and Posture Editions joined forces for a collaboration project: a book and an exhibition with the Dutch artist Henk Visch.

Henk Visch (b. 1950, Eindhoven) is one of the most influential artists of his generation. Since the 1980s, he has developed a body of work that is as poetic as it is philosophical, and which constantly explores the boundaries between sculpture, drawing and language. His sculptures, often human figures, alienated yet recognisable, embody existential themes such as presence, movement, longing and vulnerability. 

For the solo exhibition at Be-Part in Kortrijk, ‘Ik was getrouwd met een aap’ [I Was Married To a Monkey], Henk Visch drew inspiration from the distinctive architecture of the Paardenstallen, one of the last remaining vestiges of the former Tack brewery. The exhibition brings together a selection of existing works alongside newly created sculptures and drawings, developed specifically for this occasion. The exhibition is on view from 12.9 to 29.11.2026.
