Posture Editions is happy to announce a book containing a wide selection of landscape drawings by Sebastiaan Van Doninck (b. 1979), made during several trips in the past ten years.
All drawings were created ‘en plein air’ and drawn down in black ink in Moleskine notebooks. Dunes, forests, rocks, beaches are drawn in ever-changing ways but with a recognisable handwriting. Sebastiaan manages to create depth and colour purely with a black brush pen.
The book coincides with the exhibition at De Warande Turnhout.
Opening: Saturday 16 November 2024, 8 pm.
Especially for the exhibition at De Warande, Sebastiaan reworks some large-format drawings and creates a new, monumental work consisting of 42 black clay tablets into which a landscape drawing has been scratched (in close collaboration with Michelle Heylen).
